New Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability

The 1st call for applications for the Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability 2016/18 is now open. Interested students with a degree in the areas of Biology (Biological sciences, Biological engineering), Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agronomy (Agronomic sciences, Agronomic engineering) or others should submit their application till July 15th (1st period). The Master Course in Biotechnology for Sustainability wants to prepare a new generation of professionals with a wide perspective of state-of-the-art biotechnology, skilled to deal with the new societal challenges, and aware of their responsibilities towards the planet and the future generations. The program will also convey a responsible and integrative entrepreneurial perspective of the Portuguese industrial biotechnology reality. The active involvement of researchers from several institutions will contribute to a broad perspective of future opportunities in the field of biotechnology for sustainability.
The Master in Biotechnology for Sustainability is coordinated by the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB NOVA), with the colaboration of Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Instituto de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária (INIAV), Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC), Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA), Nova School of Business and Economics (NOVA-SBE), Centro de Biotecnologia Agrícola e Agro-Alimentar do Alentejo (CEBAL) and Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL).
