The External Supervisory Committee advises the Program Director and the Directive Board on the progress of the Program, and suggests changes towards improvement.

Helke Hillebrand Administrative Director Graduate Academy at Heidelberg University, Germany. Between 2008 and 2017, Dr. Hillebrand was Dean of Graduate Studies of the EMBL International PhD Programme and Academic Coordinator of the EMBL International Centre for Advanced Training. Prior to joining the EMBL, Dr. Hillebrand, who holds a doctoral degree as a plant molecular physiologist, did research on Plant Biology for over 13 years in the public and private sector. |

Dr. Wood is a top senior scientist with extensive experience in research and development of biopharmaceuticals.
