Thesis Module – 185 weeks, 207 ECTS, Years 1-4

At the end of the laboratory rotations period, students will have a 4-week period to build up, write and discuss their thesis project, under close guidance of the supervisor (Research Project, 4 ECTS). Following the presentation of the research project, student progress will be monitored and evaluated by a PhD Thesis Committee.

The Thesis work (203 ECTS) should have a period of execution of about three and a half years and will take place within one or more of the Laboratories participating in the program. Students are strongly encouraged to explore areas of research outside of their previous experience, for example at the interface between two Laboratories in the participating Institutions. Within the pool of selected students, those that may originate from the organizing Institutions will be strongly encouraged to integrate a laboratory other than the original one, or to carry their PhD project under co-supervision.
