Title: Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) - How to save a life
Speaker: Artur Afonso, INEM licensed nurse and instructor
This workshop will focus on the importance of implementing automatic external defibrillation programs in the fight against the main cause of death in Portugal, cardiovascular disease.
Topics covered: cardiovascular disease data, what is an AED program, how to identify a victim, basics of life support (BLS), how to help an AED operator in an emergency, how to activate 112 and the SIEM system, BLS practices.
