Title: My perspective on pivotal role of NMR metabolomics for ITQB NOVA

Abstract: In the last years, I am applying NMR-based metabolomic approaches to study diverse biologic systems. At ITQB NOVA, we have the key elements for the development of these type of studies: high field spectrometers, automatic systems, probes with different capabilities, expertise and research interests that can be tackled by NMR metabolomics.
In this presentation I will give an overview on the studies that we are developing in collaboration with diverse research groups inside and outside ITQB NOVA. With special focus on my main research topics: use of NMR to study cancer metabolism and physiology of microbial pathogens.
