Jörg Weiske is working since 2008 at Bayer PharmaceuHcals in the department Protein Technologies in Berlin. He is responsible for the protein expression, purificaHon and characterizaHon of protein for Structural Biology
and Screening.
As label-‐free technology he used Thermal Shi. Assay for prioriHzaHon of protein constructs / buffer condiHon for Structural Biology and as Screening Technology in Drug Discovery. As member of the Target DeconvoluHon Group, he also interest of new technologies like CETSA for idenHficaHon of targets.
He holds a PhD degree in Biology from the Free University of Berlin.
The talk deals about the Cellular Thermal ShiK Assay (CETSA) and the experience of this technology at Bayer. He shows in the MTH1 case study, how this assay can help in the early drug discovery process.
