Vish Nene joined ILRI on April 2009 and was previously with the Institute for Genome Sciences, University of Maryland, The Institute for Genomic Research & J. Craig Venter Institute, USA. He has a broad range of research interests that converge on developing improved or novel methods of disease control and in the use of whole genome sequence data and genomics technologies to underpin laboratory research. Vish has more than 20-years’ experience in molecular parasitology and 8 years in genomics research. He obtained his graduate and PhD degree and post-doctoral training in the UK. He has published extensively, participated in several training workshops, presented research findings at many conferences and mentored high school, graduate and post-graduate students
