Abstract: The fundamentals of the technique and the various applications will be addressed, with particular emphasis on the field of biological material analysis using current instrumentation, considering qualitative and quantitative aspects. An introduction to proteomics (protein analysis) and a future perspective of data integration with other techniques will also be given.
