XV Portuguese-Spanish Plant Water Relations Symposium
About:
The XV Portuguese-Spanish Plant Water Relations Symposium (Plant Water Relations Lisbon 2022) gathers researchers, practitioners, stakeholders and students every two years, since 1993. The Plant Water Relations Lisbon 2022 will focus on the theme “Water relations under climate change: from genes to ecosystem”.
Plant Water Relations Lisbon 2022 assembles an inspiring scientific program bringing together contributions and discussions on sustainable water use in agricultural and forest systems for increasing plant productivity and other ecosystem services.
Furthermore, researchers, politicians, and practitioners will discuss, in a special session, the best water management strategies coping with future warmer conditions and scarcer water resources. Finally, a satellite workshop, will address novel and critical plant phenotyping methodologies related to water relations.
Organization:
Sociedade Portuguesa de Bioquímica; Sociedad Española de Fisiologia Vegetal; CONSULAI; Instituto Superior de Agronomia
This event will count on the participation of several ITQB NOVA researchers and GREEN-IT member, such as researcher Rubén Vicente as keynote speaker, talking about "Integration of phenotyping with plant central metabolism and the key role of cereal inflorescences" and researcher Nelson Saibo as invited speaker in the session INTERPHENO, with the talk "Phenotyping model plants: water status and irrigation".
