Green-it researchers recognized at XIX SEFIN Congress and II BeMiPlant Congress
Juan Ignacio Vílchez, Principal Investigator of the iPlantMicro lab, and Inês Romão, researcher at the same lab, received this distinction at the event held in Salamanca, Spain, from July 3 to 5.
Dr. Vílchez was honored in session 3 - Climate change, biotic and abiotic stress in plant-microorganism interactions, for his work titled “Domestication caused a “Lost in translation” problem for microbiota beneficial interaction: From root exudates to inheritance”. Inês was distinguished in session 2 – Agronomic impact of FBN and phytoremediation, for her research on “Evaluation of native and non-native seed-isolated bacteria as biotreatment to increase drought resilience in maize (Zea mays L.)”.
The XIX SEFIN Congress and II BeMiPlant Congress gathered around 150 experts to discuss all aspects related to beneficial plant/microorganism interactions. The event featured 25 oral communications and over 80 posters presented by young scientists.
