Maria Beatriz Vieira awarded Best Communication Award
Green-it member and PhD student at the Plant Functional Genomics Laboratory, Maria Beatriz Vieira received the Best Communication Award with her presentation on “A DNA-based method to tackle rice varietal fraudulent claims”, at the V International Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Genetics.
The V International Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Genetics, organized by i3S – Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, Universidade do Porto, took place October 7 – 8, and featured keynote addresses from invited speakers and short presentations from students and researchers selected from submitted abstracts. One of the Keynote speakers was the former ITQB student and Green-it member Sónia Negrão, now Professor at UC Dublin.
