IMpaCT joins ITQB NOVA in the Online event "Encontro de Ciência '20"

IMpaCT team members have joined the Online event "Encontro de Ciência '20", organised by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT, the Portuguese Funding Agency for Science), in November 3-4th 2020. 

IMpaCT has created a demonstration video together with the ITQB NOVA Communication and Image Office, where we invite all to take a Molecular journey to the centre of a protein.

Determining the 3D structure of a protein is crucial to comprehend its cellular function. To achieve this, we use X-ray crystallography and in more recent years cryo-electron microscopy. In this video we will lead you in a short journey to the center of a protein, where you will be able to visualize its aminoacids and metallic centers, and better understand its function at a molecular level.
