IMpaCT joins "Summer Science" @ ITQB NOVA

The Summer Science @ ITQB NOVA 2020 that took place from July 20 – 24 provided undergraduate students in the areas of life sciences the opportunity to get in touch with the science developed at ITQB NOVA.

Pedro Matias, the IMpaCT Project Coordinator, and Sara Silva, a Post-doc from the IMpaCT team, participated on the second day of this event and have welcomed 30 bachelor students from several Portuguese and international universities from Brazil, India, Cape Verde, Angola and Mozambique.

The event adapted to an online format was composed by the different sessions, during which the students had the opportunity to interacte with the researchers, get acquittance with the different scientific areas and units at ITQB NOVA, explore the research carried out in the different laboratories and interact with scientists to exchange views and experience from the different scientific paths.

Sara Silva, a Post-doc from the IMpaCT ITQB NOVA team, welcomed the students in a lab tour so that they could get acquaintance with MX-Unit facility and to visit part of the daily lab work developed by the Macromolecular Crystallography team.
