Phamacokinetics and Biopharmaceutical Analysis

Overview

Our work includes the development and the assessment of the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of prospective drugs and prodrugs as well as the establishment of in vitro-in vivo correlations using in vitro models for dissolution, intestinal membrane transport and metabolism. We are also interested in the absorption of other xenobiotics such as pesticides and pollutants.

Chromatography and capillary electrophoresis are the tools we use routinely for quantification purposes and therefore we are frequently engaged in the development and validation of analytical methods, also for collaboration with other groups. In the field of analytical development we are particularly interested in in-capillary reactions.

Presently our main projects are industry driven and we aim at continuing to develop work in the interface between the university and industry.
