Apply for the StartUp Research NOVA 2025 until April 4

The new edition of StartUp Research, the Post-Graduation developed in partnership between ITQB NOVA and NOVA SBE, will take place between May 7th and July 25th, 2025. This program is collaboratively built by scientists and entrepreneurs from these institutions, designed to create awareness in researchers of the value their science can generate. Applications are open until April 4th , 2025 and there are 17 tuition scholarships available.
Aimed at researchers from all areas of life sciences, the StartUp Research program provides students with knowledge about Innovation Management, Business Modelling, Corporate Finance & Start-Up Pitching, while developing other (Bio)Entrepreneurship soft & hard skills. This year’s edition will have a lighter-weight schedule with considerable practical, hands-on learning, involving top-ranked staff executives and case studies.
"The Programme exceeded all my expectations. It was incredibly comprehensive, covering all the crucial components necessary for a startup, from finance to marketing, and the steps needed to secure investment”, says 2024 alumna and ITQB NOVA postdoc Margarida Sampaio. “It also provided an opportunity to connect with key people in entrepreneurship, pharmaceuticals, and venture building. One of the standout features was its highly collaborative and multidisciplinary atmosphere, which enabled me to initiate a collaboration that will be essential for further developing my business idea”, she concludes.
