Dia Aberto ITQB NOVA 2019

No sábado, dia 26 de outubro, a ITQB NOVA abre suas portas para um dia cheio de atividades para pessoas de todas as idades. No Ano Internacional da Tabela Periódica, os nossos investigadores convidam-no a "Juntar-se aos elementos" e a descobrir a química no nosso quotidiano.
As portas estarão abertas das 10h às 17h, com visitas a laboratórios, instrumentos científicos e estufas. Estão previstas sessões de speed dating com cientistas, palestras científicas sobre a Arquitetura da Vida, a Dança dos Elementos e a Tabela Periódica da Medicina e uma feira de ciências com experiências. As crianças vão construir moléculas com gomas, aprender com os jogos da Fotossíntese e da Tabela Periódica, descobrir as surpreendentes experiências químicas do cientista Carlos Romão e preencher os seus passaportes com dezenas de actividades.
Ao final do dia, todos terão descoberto a Pirâmide em nosso jardim e aquilo que está por baixo, e perceberão que não pode haver expressão mais enganosa do que "não contém químicos". Afinal, a química está em toda parte: nos objetos do nosso dia-a-dia e até mesmo em nós!
O Dia Aberto do ITQB NOVA é organizado a cada dois anos pelos investigadores do instituto, com o objetivo de mostrar a ciência que é aqui desenvolvida. É uma oportunidade única de descobrir a instituição por dentro, conversar com os nossos cientistas, saber mais sobre uma carreira científica e descobrir a ciência das nossas vidas.

On Saturday, 26 October, ITQB NOVA opens its doors for a day full of activities for people of all ages. In the International Year of the Periodic Table, our researchers invite you to "Join the Elements" and discover how chemistry is part of our daily lives.
Doors will be open from 10 am to 5 pm, with visits to labs, research facilities and greenhouses. Visitors can participate in speed dating with scientists, listen to scientific talks on the Architecture of Life, the Dance of the Elements and the Periodic Table of Medicine, and discover our science fair with hands-on experiments. Children will build molecules with gums, play the games of Photosynthesis and of the Periodic Table, discover the astonishing chemical experiments of scientist Carlos Romão and fill their passports with dozens of activities.
By the end of the day, everyone will have discovered the Pyramid in our garden and what lies beneath, and will realize there can be no expression more misleading than "contains no chemicals". After all, chemistry is everywhere: in the objects of our daily lives and even in us!
ITQB NOVA’s Open Day is organized every two years by the researchers of the institute, with the aim of showing the science developed in here. It is a unique opportunity to discover the institution from the inside, talk to our scientists, get to know more about a scientific career and discover the science in our lives.
