ITQB NOVA celebrates 2024 Science and Technology Week
From 18 to 24 NOV, ITQB NOVA will participate in the 2024 Science and Technology Week, bringing science beyond the institute's walls.
Researchers and science communicators from ITQB NOVA will engage with students and the broader community to showcase the work done at the institute and to inspire curiosity about the role of science in everyday life.
Outreach activities
As a part of this week’s celebrations, ITQB NOVA researchers will step into classrooms and share their work with young minds eager to learn.
Two sessions are still available as part of the Ciência Viva initiatives: if you are a basic or high school teacher, find out more here and here.
Launch Of The Second Edition Of the Micromundo@Oeiras Project
Kickstarting this week and marking European Antibiotic Awareness Day, ITQB NOVA is launching the second edition of MicroMundo@Oeiras, a citizen science project that aims to discover new antibiotics and mapping resistance through soil samples.
This year’s edition brings together high school students, ITQB NOVA researchers, and NOVA university students in a collaborative effort to address the pressing global challenge of antibiotic resistance.
