27th May ITQB NOVA opens the doors

On 27th May, ITQB NOVA will open its doors for all interested to enter our labs and meet our researchers. For the 10th edition of ITQB NOVA open day we want to share our vision of the world, how do we look at the organisms we are studying - from nano to macro.
ITQB NOVA Open day is a way for us to share with our community the joys of research and inviting people inside our usually closed labs. We invite you to come visit the laboratories, meet our scientists, do experiments, play games, see demonstrations and have a bite in our beautiful garden, with a pool view.
In 2017 we celebrate World Metrology Day, an annual celebration of the signature of the Metre Convention on 20 May 1875 by representatives of seventeen nations. The Convention set the framework for global collaboration in the science of measurement and in its industrial, commercial and societal applications. The original aim of the Metre Convention - the world-wide uniformity of measurement - remains as important today as it was in 1875.
Celebrating that, we invite you on a tour through our research from nano to macro; how do we measure and see the world through instruments (10-9), lens (10-6 and 10-3) or with our eyes (10 and 103).
