Noite Europeia dos Investigadores chega a Oeiras
Em 2021, o ITQB NOVA juntou-se à Ciência Viva – Agência Nacional para a Cultura Científica e Tecnológica e ao Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto (i3S) para realizar mais uma edição da Noite Europeia dos Investigadores. O projeto REGGAE (Researchers for European Green Growth and Education) promoveu diversas atividades para todos os públicos, em 21 locais distribuídos por todo o país.
Em Oeiras, a primeira edição da Noite decorreu na Marina de Oeiras a 24 de setembro. O programa ofereceu jogos, debates, demonstrações, workshops, conversas, entre muitas outras atividades, para públicos de todas as idades. Com início às 16h, a Noite estendeu-se até às 22h, terminando com um momento especial. O evento foi organizado pelo ITQB NOVA em parceria com a Câmara Municipal de Oeiras e com o Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, no âmbito do projeto Ciência Aberta a Oeiras.
O Município de Oeiras tem-se afirmado cada vez mais como um ambiente de Ciência e Inovação, pelo que a Noite Europeia dos Investigadores contou com a presença de diversas instituições científicas do município, que tiveram oportunidade de apresentar a investigação que desenvolvem. As atividades abordadas foram de áreas tão diversas como a economia circular, biodiversidade, clima, energia limpa, entre outras, relacionando-se com o tema European Green Deal.
A Noite Europeia dos Investigadores é uma iniciativa promovida e financiada pela Comissão Europeia, no âmbito das Ações Marie Skłodowska-Curie. Realiza-se anualmente na última sexta-feira de setembro e tem como principal objetivo desmistificar a investigação e o trabalho dos cientistas, aproximando assim a ciência do grande público.

European Researcher’s Night comes to Oeiras in September
In September, Oeiras hosts the first European Researcher’s Night, fully dedicated to the science produced in the city. The Oeiras Marina was the chosen place for this first edition and aims to be a meeting point for researchers and new audiences.
In 2021, ITQB NOVA is joining Ciência Viva - National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture and Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S) to organise another edition of the European Researcher's Night. In Oeiras, the first edition of this event happened at the Oeiras Marina on 24 September. The programme offered games, debates, live demos, workshops, talks, among many other activities, for the public of every age. Beginning at 4 p.m., the event extended through the evening and night, ending around 10 p.m. with a special musical session. The event was promoted by ITQB NOVA, in partnership with Oeiras Municipality and Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, within the project Ciência Aberta a Oeiras.
Oeiras Municipality has been affirming itself as an environment of Science and Innovation, and so the European Researcher’s Night counted on the participation of different scientific institutions from the city, which had the opportunity to present their research. The activities addressed subjects like circular economy, biodiversity, climate, clean energy, among others, relating to the theme European Green Deal.
The European Researcher’s Night is promoted and funded by the European Commission, within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. It’s a yearly event that takes place on the last Friday of September and the main objective is to demystify the world of research and scientists' work, bringing science closer to the public.
