Ethics Committee
The joint Ethics Committee of the Institute for Tropical Hygiene and Medicine (IHMT NOVA), Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB NOVA) and NOVA School of Law (NSL) comprises members from diverse disciplines, who are committed to providing support to IHMT, ITQB NOVA and NSL in promoting and complying with ethics in teaching, research and collaboration. The Ethics Committee issues rulings on research proposals involving studies with human or animal subjects, or samples of human and animal origin, and contributes to training on ethics. The Ethics Committee is available to clarify any doubt related to ethical issues.
