He has been very active in the
evaluation of research projects and prizes. Most of this evaluation work has
been done for foreign agencies and for the European Commission. For some
agencies I was evaluator, but in others I was member of panels. I had
leadership roles in the evaluation of PhD and Post-doctoral grants for FCT, PT,
where I was Chair of the Experimental Biology and Biochemistry from 2016 to
2018, and I was Vice-Chair of the EX4 (Human biology and medical sciences)
discipline panel for evaluation of EXPRO Grants from the Czech Science
Foundation in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
